In the aftermath of 9/11 and in light of the dramatic rise in identity theft, we are increasingly being asked to verify who we are at airports, borders, financial and educational venues, DMVs, public and private buildings and many other locations. Biometrics has become a vital tool that enables the highest level of confidence in accurate personal identification. Many international and national organizations have blessed the use of facial recognition, fingerprint recognition, iris and other forms of biometrics to identify people.
Biometrics are unique physical characteristics of an individual that can help to identify a person with unequaled accuracy. Integral provides a full range of biometrics solutions using multimodal biometrics, such as face, finger, palm, and iris technologies to serve government, law enforcement, transportation, and border management agencies as they fight identity theft and terrorism. Our systems also enhance the effectiveness of our war fighters. Through government biometrics R&D programs, Integral has demonstrated success in enhancing biometric technologies and developing pilot applications that confirm the applicability of diverse biometrics in real-world environments.
Integral has extensive experience and competence in developing Identity Solutions using multimodal biometric technologies for DoD, DHS and other federal clients. These Identity Solutions help combat identity theft and fraud. They are used for border control, criminal investigation, passport and visa processing, warfighter support, driver licensing, credit card validation, physical and logical access control, watch list checks against established terrorist and criminal watch list databases.

These projects demonstrate the range of Integral’s expertise in a variety of Identity Applications solutions:
- FIPS_201 Standard for Personal Identity Verification (PIV): We developed prototypes for providing FIPS_201 solution using biometric technologies, smart cards and RFID. Applications include document proofing, enrollment, watch list and background checks and access control.
- Watch list Check: We developed solutions that check an individual's identity within established watch list databases via a multimodal approach, including facial recognition, fingerprint recognition and enhanced textual searches.
- Information Sharing and Collaboration: We established architecture for Information Sharing and Collaboration using Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and multimodal biometrics (facial recognition and fingerprint).
