Integral Begins Work on U.S. Coast Guard Force Planning Construct

December 16, 2016 – The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) this week awarded Integral a task order contract to support the creation of a Force Planning Construct (FPC) that will inform and justify the size and shape of the force needed to execute all USCG missions and strategies. The professional services contract has a one-year base and one-year option period of performance.

Applying best practices in force planning from the Department of Defense, other agencies, and industry, and working closely with USCG subject matter experts and staff, Integral will provide conceptualization, design, research, technical writing, documentation, and analytic support services in producing the FPC.

The Integral team consists of a project manager, two management analysts, and a technical editor, who will work primarily at the company’s headquarters in Gaithersburg, Maryland, and alternately at USCG headquarters in Anacostia, Washington, D.C., for briefs, meetings, workshop setup and execution, design testing, or as otherwise required.

“We understand the crucial importance of the FPC to the Coast Guard’s ability to create ‘the right force for the future,’ as termed in the Commandant’s Strategic Intent 2015–2019,” said Integral President and Chief Executive Officer Renu Johri. “Our team takes its role very seriously, and looks forward to exceeding the client’s expectations throughout the effort to produce and deliver a defensible FPC.”
